How to get from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Pattaya

To get from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Pattaya you have 2 transfer options; you can either take a taxi or a bus. Taking a taxi is by far the quickest and most convenient way to travel. The other, and much cheaper option, is to take the Airport Pattaya bus to the North Pattaya bus station.

Public taxi 
Taking a Bangkok airport taxi from Suvarnabhumi airport (BBK) to Pattaya is by far the best travel option as they offer a comfortable, air-conditioned, door-to-door service; getting you to the Conference Venue (approx. 130 km.) in just 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on traffic and time of day. Public taxi stands are located on level 1 (one level down from the Arrivals level). The taxi fare is charged by the meter plus a 50 Baht airport surcharge. If you select a metered taxi the driver may ask you to provide the toll fees enroute. Alternately you should be able to negotiate a mini bus taxi which will hold about 4 people plus luggage for around 2,000-2,500 Thai Baht or a regular taxi for 2 people plus luggage which should cost no more than 1,700 Thai Baht including freeway tolls and taxes, which is still pretty cheap door to door transport.

Bus
If you are travelling on a budget, taking the Airport Pattaya bus from Suvarnabhumi airport (BBK) is the best option for you, as tickets only cost 150 Thai Baht. However, if you miss your bus, you will have to wait for the next one (around 1 hour), adding onto your 2-hour trip to the city centre. Moreover, once you reach Pattaya, you will either have to walk to your accommodation or find another way to get there.

Getting to Pattaya from Suvarnabhumi airport (BBK) couldn’t be cheaper, as a one-way ticket on the Airport Pattaya bus costs 150 Thai Baht. You can purchase your bus ticket from one of the designated counters at the airport’s arrivals hall.
